Blueleaf Energy, a firm that develops, finances, owns and operates renewable energy and storage assets in the long-term in the Asia Pacific region has announced the onboarding of its CIO and COO. Renewable energy veterans Anand Prakash will take over the reins of the firm as CIO while Amiram Roth-Deblon will join the organisation as COO. The leadership announcements by Blueleaf Energy correspond with the growth plans of the firm in renewable energy space and sustainable infrastructure investments in Asia-Pacific region. Blueleaf Energy leadership appointments Anand Prakash brings to the table more than 25 years of leadership experience in investing in renewable energy, the power industry and the broader climate investing space. His most role was as the Managing Director of Asian Century Advisors (“ACA”). His role here entailed providing Senior Advisory services to marquee private equity investors building or scaling platforms for the deployment of capital in renewable energy, waste and water. This was among other high climate impact companies across Asia. Before this, Anand was the Managing Director of Asia Climate Partners, a private equity fund launched by Asian Development Bank and ORIX Corporation based in Hong Kong and of FE Clean Energy Group, one of the pioneering private equity investors in the clean energy space in Asia. Anand Prakash, as the CIO, will look towards building out a pan-Asia platform across both developed and developing markets in Asia. These will be across all sectors- solar, wind, hybrid and beyond, and will serve both utility and corporate customers. As the CIO at Blueleaf Energy based in Singapore, Anand will lead and advance the firm’s investment strategy, planning, analysis and execution to further accelerate the growth and asset build out of the company. The new COO, Amiram Roth-Deblon, has vast experience in developing and building successful renewable energy businesses across Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa in the last two decades. These businesses exceeded 4 GW of solar, wind and battery projects developed and delivered. Before joining Blueleaf Energy in the leadership role, he served as the Director at the international project developer and EPC JUWI, where he cemented JUWI’s presence in Asia Pacific from 2011 to 2016. Most recently, he built a market-leading business delivering hybrid power solutions globally to energy intensive industries such as mining. Taking over the reins of the firm as COO, Amiram will lead the Blueleaf Energy’s operations ranging from project development to construction and asset management.
