Canadian Government Has Invested $765,000 to Deploy 117 V1G EV Chargers

Canada-based Energy-Tech company, Peak Power has announced that it has received $765000 worth  investment from the Canadian Government. With this investment, Peak Power will install 117 V1G EV chargers to achieve a zero-emission target under the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP). The total cost of the ZEVIP program is over $1.6 million.

The V1G chargers will be employed by Peak Power in several mixed-use developments in Ontario, Canada. The chargers will be built with the help of Peak Power’s Synergy technology, which is also the foundation of the company’s successful Peak Drive EV charging project. With the help of Synergy technology, the chargers will be able to use the grid’s energy when it is most plentiful and avoid periods of peak demand. They can also change the flow rate at which the cars are charged. The intelligent chargers will ease the load on the grid, resulting in savings for utilities and power customers while will also providing electric vehicle drivers more places to charge their cars to help expand the system’s capacity.

The initiative supports the federal government’s objectives to hasten the electrification of Canada’s transportation industry as envisioned by ZEVIP. The 117 chargers will promote the use of electric vehicle because they will give vehicles access to more extensive infrastructure for charging. According to grid operators, the intelligent design of the Peak Power software will enable increased grid capacity without the need for significant infrastructure changes.

People in Toronto and other parts of the province will be able to access the infrastructure they need to drive an EV while battling climate change thanks to the government of Canada’s $765000 investment.”
