Econergy Gets EPC Contracts for 172-MW Solar Project in Romania By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Nov 4th, 2022 Highlights : The Parau town project, located in the Brasov region is going to have a total 91 MW of installed solar power capacity. The other solar project in Oradea will come up in the Bihor region. It will have a total installed capacity of 81 MW. Econergy Renewable Energy has announced that it has finalised engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements for two solar PV projects that would total to 172 MW in Romania. The company has said in its official statement that the new EPC contracts are part of further milestones in Econergy’s development activities in Romania. Econergy Renewable Energy is an investor, developer and operator in renewable energy projects mainly in Europe. Econergy said that the Parau town project, located in the Brasov region is going to have a total 91MW of installed solar power capacity. Econergy has signed Oradea EPC agreement with the CHINTEC Group. The company has said that the two solar power projects will become commercially operational in the third quarter of 2023. Eyal Podhorzer, Econergy’s CEO said, “Econergy are pleased to be leading the development and construction of the Parau and Oradea PV projects in Romania. Solar is a core technology for Econergy and will form a key part of our strategy to develop renewable energy projects across Europe in the coming months.” The firm also said that Romania represents a key target geography for the company, and this acquisition builds on its reputation as a leading developer in the Romanian renewables market with strong local development, management, and engineering specialisms.
