Greentech Gets O&M Deal for Wind Turbines of Enel Green In Gujarat

Coimbatore-based renewable energy player Greentech and Italian energy firm Enel Green Power have signed an agreement under which Greentech will handle operations and maintenance of wind turbines installed and commissioned by Enel Green in the state of Gujarat.

The Enel wind farm has a power generating capacity of 150 MW and it employs 100 Suzlon S82-1,500 KW wind turbines. According to reports, the two companies have signed the O&M agreement for a three years-period.

Founded in 2007, Greentech started its business with less than one megawatt of turbine fleet. Today, the company says that it has more than 400 MW of wind energy projects in operation and the company is present in nine wind energy producing states.

V Saibaba, one of the five board members of Greentech, stated that the company is responsible for more than 400 MW, which includes both megawatt and sub-megawatt fleets across India. Greentech is also in talks with various customers for a 300 MW deal.

Greentech says that it employs forward-looking technology to provide operations and management services for RE assets, across the globe. With the help of AI-driven analytical engines, Greentech claims to enhance the performance and longevity of renewable energy assets, creating better ROI on investments and sustainable growth.

The company has provided its services to some of the leading turbine players in the world including Siemens Gamesa, Inox Wind, ReGen Powertech, Suzlon and Vestas.

The company is looking to acquire an additional portfolio of 2 GW in the near future in the renewable energy sector that would include both solar and wind energy projects. According to reports, Greentech is also expanding the employment of its crane-less technology in both domestic and foreign markets.

Enel Green Power manages over 1200 power plants based in five continents. It claims to have projects worth over 54 GW in its kitty worldwide.
