Howrah Electrical Div of Eastern Railway Issues Tender for 2.2 MW On-Grid Solar Rooftop

The Howrah Electrical Division of Eastern Railway has issued a tender for the installation of 2.2 MWp on-grid (without battery backup) solar rooftop/ shed-top plant over Howrah division.

The tender is for design and supply of on-grid connected solar Photo Voltaic (PV) plant without battery backup complete with the following items (a) mono / poly crystalline silicon solar cell connected in series (PV Module), (b) Solar grid connected string inverter along with data logger, with provision for data transferring ( RS-485, GPRS, RF ) to remote service platform for data storage and analysis displayed in various visual and graphical formats on Web-App & big screen display (c) Aluminium solar PV module mounting structure, (d) Array junction box, (e) Inverter interfacing panels ( AC distribution board , grid interfacing panel ), (f) Fire resistant DC cables and fire resistant AC cables of suitable size ( in sq.mm ) and length including dressing / laying of cable through suitable size GI covered cable tray / through HDPE Pipe / underground by microtunneling method / through GI pipe as per site requirement for interconnecting panels, array Junction box and solar inverter system, ACDB, GIP etc. including all other accessories such as monkey ladder for maintenance access to roof / shed, lightning arrester, suitable earthing arrangement along with installation, testing and commissioning of above Solar Photo Voltaic modules on rooftop of building/ shed top of station platform / coaching yard / workshop with all associated works.

Recently, IRCON Renewable Power had issued a tender inviting bids to hire a project management consultancy (PMC) for solar power projects of capacity of 500 MW at Pavagada in Karnataka. IRCON Renewable Power is a subsidiary of the central government owned IRCON International. It’s a PSU of the railways.
