JinkoSolar Launches Second Generation Tiger Neo Panels By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Jan 13th, 2023 Highlights : The upgraded Tiger Neo family will entail three series with up to 445 Wp for 54-cell, 615Wp for 72-cell, and 635Wp for 78-cell. The module efficiency for these will be up to 22.27%, 23.23%, and 22.72% respectively. Jinko Solar claims that these are among the world’s most efficient and powerful panels and available with up to 23.23% efficiency at the module level. The power output is 615 Wp for the 72-cell panel in 182” format. A global leader in solar module manufacturing, JinkoSolar, has revealed that it has launched its second generation Tiger Neo panel family, which it claims is among the world’s most efficient and powerful solar panels. The upgraded Tiger Neo family will entail three series with up to 445 Wp for 54-cell, 615 Wp for 72-cell, and 635 Wp for 78-cell. The module efficiency for these will be up to 22.27%, 23.23%, and 22.72% respectively. The newly-introduced Tiger Neo panels have been built on N-type TOPCon technology that yields higher efficiency, performance and has higher reliability. There are several factors that contribute to its higher performance rates. To begin with, claims Jinko Solar, these are among the world’s most efficient and powerful panels and available with up to 23.23% efficiency at the module level. The power output is 615 Wp for the 72-cell panel in 182” format. The bifacial factor (where energy is captured from both sides) stands at 85%, pushing it to a higher generation on the rear side panel. At the same time, 15-20% more yield is promised as opposed to conventional bifacial panels. A further optimized temperature co-efficiency down to -0.29%/℃, a 15-year prolonged lifespan compared to conventional panels and O&M experience with 30-years warranty (1% initial-year degradation and 0.4% linear degradation) are other factors that make it more promising, says the firm. Additionally, it offers higher average productivity under low-light conditions such as sunset, sunrise, and cloudy skies and compatibility with almost all mainstream inverter brands with the use of lower short circuit current. “We are once again raising the standard of N-type performance with the latest generation of our Tiger Neo panels, which deliver better system performance – even through the most demanding conditions,” said Gener Miao, CMO of JinkoSolar Co., Ltd., “This panel, combined with an industry-leading N-type partner ecosystem and new solutions like ESS, will show what’s truly possible with the solar PV experience going forward.” In a first for Bangladesh, it recently installed N Type installation featuring Jinko’s Tiger Neo panels. The massive rooftop installation houses 1.5 MWp DC of the 555W Tiger Neo monofacial modules.
