MSEDCL Issues RFS for Procurement of 1000 MW of Solar Power

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL) has issued an RFS for the procurement of 1000 MW (AC) solar power through competitive bidding process (followed by e-reverse auction) from projects to be connected at distribution network (11/22 KV) in Maharashtra under “Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana”.

The last date for online submission of bids is 17.03.2023 at 16.00 Hrs. The document mentions the last date for submission of Technical & Financial bids as 17.03.2023 till 16.00 Hrs. Technical Bids will be opened on the same day at 18:00 Hrs.

The cost of RFS Document (non-refundable) is mentioned as Rs. 15000 + 18% GST while the Tender Processing Fee (non-refundable) is mentioned as  Rs. 10,000 per MW + 18% GST to be paid through online payment.

EMD Rs. 1 Lakh/MW is to be submitted in the form of bank guarantee or paid through online payment along with response to RFS. Ceiling tariff is fixed at Rs. 3.30 per unit.

The document says that a bidder may submit bids for developing the projects under solar PV technology (solar PV ground mount project) following the given criteria). Minimum individual project capacity to be developed shall be 2 MW) Maximum individual project capacity to be developed shall be 10 MW (2X5 MW). The cumulative capacity to be installed is 1000 MW.

Launched by MSEDCL, Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana looks to provide daytime power supply to the farmers. Under this scheme, solar power projects of around 2 to 10 MW within 5 km of substations in agriculture dominated areas are to be implemented.

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has issued a tender for the procurement of 200 MW of wind power through a competitive bidding process followed by e-reverse auction from intra state wind power projects. The state DISCOM has placed a ceiling tariff of Rs 2.65/kWh for the bids.
