To complete the development of a solar-powered, EV charger-enabled carport as part of a pilot demonstration, NSE-listed Servotech Power Systems Limited has struck an agreement with the National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), one of the leading solar bodies of India.

With the aid of this pilot project, NSEFI has given Servotech a platform on which to display an innovation that combines solar and EV charging capabilities. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) offices in Delhi is the proposed location for the carport installation, which will serve as a test site for other key locations.

The scope of work for the project is for Servotech to design, construct, and install PV plus storage carports with EV charging stations. This cutting-edge building will be constructed with a 5kW solar system and two 11kW DC rapid EV chargers. Solar carports are made to cover a variety of car parking spaces and can be readily constructed to blend in with the surroundings. They may be customised, making it possible to do everything from collecting rainwater to brand businesses. Solar carports can also increase the property’s value and present site owners with extra income prospects.

Sarika Bhatia, Whole-Time Director, Servotech Power Systems, says that “We are confident that this pilot program will serve as a springboard for other planned green energy initiatives in the region. Delhi’s ecology is well renowned for being extremely adaptable and welcoming, and the carport that was built directly inside the MNRE complex can serve as a shining example of sustainability. “

Earlier, The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) had awarded the 1.8 MW off-grid solar project (Second Solar Project) to Servotech Power Systems, an Indian developer of solar, LED, medical-grade, and electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. This 1.8 MW of off-grid solar project’s overall contract value is about Rs 30 crore.
