KPI Green Energy – the solar vertical of Gujarat based KP Group – has announced that the company has received new orders for the development of solar power projects under the captive power producer (CPP) segment from seven entities. The renewable energy company has informed that the aggregate capacity of the seven projects come to 24.90 Megawatt (MW).

KPI Green Energy has also held that the solar power projects will be developed through its wholly-owned subsidiaries: KPIG Energia and Sundrops Energia.

Creative Technologies, General Polytex, General Petrochemicals, Savalia Texturisers, Rushabh Wire Industries LLP, Rajputana Stainless, and VD Global are the seven entities that have placed the order for solar power development.

KPI Green says that it has commissioned 38.76 MWp solar power projects through its wholly-owned subsidiaries. The portfolio is developed under both Captive Power Producer (CPP) and Independent Power Producer (IPP) segments.

The total aggregate capacity of KPI Green Energy of the solar power projects under both the CPP and IPP segments will swell to 63.66 MWp once the new orders of 24.90 MWp are commissioned.

“The execution of the development works has commenced at the site and the entire capacity is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2023, in various tranches,” the company said in official statement.

KPI Green Energy, earlier known as KPI Global Infrastructure, develops, operates, and maintains captive solar power projects for its clients. The company is also a power producer and sells solar energy under the Solarism brand.

KPI Green Energy will build a solar power plant that will generate 1.10 MW of green energy. It also commissioned a 5.40 MW solar power project under CPP segment for Anupam Rasayan India Ltd last month.
