Telangana Floats Tender for 50 MW Mono PERC Solar Modules

To purchase 50 MW of monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact (MONO-PERC) solar modules under the domestic content requirement (DCR) and non-DCR categories for use in the grid-connected rooftop solar program (Phase-II) and other government projects, the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has issued a request for bids. 

The last date for submitting the bid for this 50 MW tender is January 03, 2022, and bids will be opened on the same day 

The following day, bids will be opened. To participate in the bidding procedure, bidders must provide a security deposit of Rs 10 lakhs. 

Alternatively, bidders must furnish a bank guarantee for Rs 10 lakhs with a minimum validity of 18 months. Within two weeks of the purchase order’s date, the complete quantity must be delivered. 

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) is the only list from which solar modules may be purchased. The provider must also have an ALMM enlisted capacity of at least 100 MW/year and be an authorised ALMM-listed vendor or manufacturer. The modules must be covered by a 10-year warranty against manufacturing flaws starting from the date of supply.

The solar modules must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which should be no less than 90% after ten years and 80% after 25 years, according to the bidding document. 

Additionally, solar modules should function well in environments with temperatures between -10°C and +85°C and be able to endure winds up to 170 Km/h on the surface of the panel. 

Additionally, each solar module will be examined for compliance with IEC requirements, and any negative power tolerance will not be tolerated. The solar modules must be devoid of scratches on the glass or frame, excessive or uneven adhesive marks on the glass or frame, cracks, air bubbles, delamination, and irregular cell colors.

Recently, Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Ltd (TSREDCO) invited a tender for a 16MW grid-connected (13 MW + 3 MW) & 14 MW (11MW + 3 MW) through captive mode + 2 MW net-metering mode) grid-connected rooftop solar systems on the cycling track for Hyderabad, Telangana under the RESCO model and the global competitive bidding process.
