WBSEDCL Issues Tender for Floating Solar Project at West Bengal

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) plans to develop Grid Connected Floating Solar PV Power Plant of 10 MW (AC) capacity at the Upper Dam of Purulia Pump Storage Project Site, Ajodhya Hills, Barria Mouza, Baghmundi in Purulia District of West Bengal.

The last date for submitting the online bid is September 19, 2022, till 04:00 pm. Bids will be opened on September 21, 2022, at 4:00 pm.

This WBSEDCL 10 MW solar tender includes the scope of work in Design & Engineering, Manufacture / Procurement, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning including warrantee obligation with five years of Comprehensive Operation and Maintenance of this 10 MW (AC) Floating Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant.

There are zero tender fees for each interested bidder. Each interested bidder will have to be submitted Rs. 1,22,00,000/- (One Crore Twenty-Two Lakh Only) as an Earnest Money Deposit. 

To procure this tender, bidders must have completed contracts for at least one comparable project that cost not less than 50% of the requested capacity in planning, design and engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning with comprehensive O&M. Alternately, they must have completed three comparable projects, each costing at least 30% of the requested project capacity, or two comparable projects that each cost no less than 40% of the proposed capacity within the five years preceding the bid submission date.

During the previous three financial years, bidders should have generated an average yearly turnover of at least 30% of the projected cost of packages. They should be able to access fund-based credit facilities totaling at least 10% of the project’s expected cost, or they should have liquid assets. Their net worth should have increased over the previous three financial years.
